The curse of auditory sensitivity

Could barely do this today.

There’s too much noise.

I’m tired of letting sounds get to me.

Dog licking his paws, chewing on his bones, clickety-clack of paws, constant panting….

Love them, but it drives me crazy.

It’s too much.

Can’t concentrate, can’t think, can’t relax.

All I hear are the sounds inside the house.

The cat playing with its squeaky mouse, ringing the little bell in its collar, scratching its tower…

Relentless and overwhelming.

Anxiety inducing.

It’s complete madness when one wants to wind-down in the evening after a long day, and you just can’t because of all the sensory overload around you.

My mind is not right.

I need to rest.

Maybe tomorrow will be better.
