Snowstorm, survived

The record winter storm spawned 2,000 miles across the country, affecting half the states with snow warnings and lower temperatures from the Midwest to Texas.

Reportedly, the Northeast got 30 inches of snow. Compared to Ohio’s 4 to 10 inches.

Me? I stayed inside with good company, worked from home, ate to my heart’s content and drank like a king. I mean, what more was there to do? I did the responsible thing: prepared myself with supplies, didn’t leave the house for a couple of days, and wasn’t driving through icy roads. I also wasted my time on social media and played some videogames (lmao, sounds like a normal week to me).

Because I didn’t have internet (still hasn’t been installed, hopefully by Monday), I had to go through my old portable hard drives to find some sort of OFFLINE MEDIA ENTERTAINMENT.

“Past me” left everything set up for “future me” -the guy never misses- in a very well organized folder with a shitload of movies, it even had subtitle files included (you see, a long time ago we didn’t have streaming at the touch of a button. We had to download our content and save the file to play it later or buy the physical disc.)

No, I did not read any of the books I had planned to read. It happens, don’t judge. I’ll just keep stacking them and eventually will read them all in a month or two. It’ll be alright, don’t worry.

Well… The new apartment is officially ‘broken in’ and winter-proofed! Confirmed! Although, I think the only thing it needs is a new rug to REALLY make it feel like home. Oh, and a new shower curtain.

P.S.
Adding a picture of my failed attempt to make a snowman (emphasis on failed). I was today years old when I learned that, apparently, there is such a thing as ‘different types of snow’. Not all snow can be rolled, compacted and shaped like a frosty fellow. The more you know…
