The future is uncertain, and everything will probably keep getting worse overall. As individuals, we rarely have the chance to change the bigger picture because we don’t have the influence, money or power that’s reserved for the people in charge of the actual decision-making.

Spoiler alert: helping out the majority of the population is not on their to-do list (unless it benefits them directly).
