Is there such thing as going through a carrot phase? This is maybe my second or third time riding this carousel.
First time was salads and carrot chips with all kinds of vinaigrettes, dressings and dipping sauces. Second time I went straight up Bugs Bunny in this shit, and was eating them raw from bottom to top, leaving only the fronds. It was a shorter period, but damn it felt good, like being able to walk around a multitude of people, and just shining. Not to mention, it was actually pretty healthy on a day-to-day basis.
Fast-forward to present day, in my thirties, it’s smoothie mania. I finally got the blender out of the pantry, and started using it every single day. Bananas, strawberries, spinach, pineapple, almond/soy/oat milk, whatever, anything goes, just add a carrot or two to the mix, and drink it. I’m not even adding any sugar or honey. Liquid fiber, antioxidants and vitamins going straight into the system.
It has only been 2 weeks, and I’m loving it.
Now I only have to figure out how to stop plowing all those carbs inside of me. Maybe THEN the six-pack will once again make its appearance around my abdomen.
P.S.
Carrot cake has always been an essential part of every phase, and it will be a part of my life till the day I die.
