Is there really such a thing as too much salsa in your tacos? Yes! I found out the hard way. Discovered a new legit Mexican restaurant (meaning, workers speak Spanish and food recipes taste like the real thing) about 2-3 minutes from my house.
Was so excited after finishing my plate of carnitas, that I ordered another taco, and more cilantro sauce. Washed it down with a margarita and a cerveza.
At the moment it was perfect for present me, but in retrospect, from the POV of future me, it was completely unnecessary, and now I’m paying for the mistake.
So, how do you know when to stop?
When to say no to more salsa?
How not to order a 4th and 5th taco with sides?
Do these answers even exist before suffering from indigestion?
One of the things that truly bring me happiness is being surprised with authentic food. I rarely have any sort of expectations, that way I’m never disappointed. Tonight I couldn’t contain my excitement and just ate some more.
Even though I’m 6 Tums deep, and on my way to some Pepto-Bismol, I have absolutely no regrets, and will do it again once I forget about this ever happened to me (probably in a week or so).
