Strange, nice and productive Saturday
Almost any sleep last night thanks to inconsiderate neighbors. Had a nice big breakfast and hit the road. 250 miles driven, got shit done, and almost 8 hours after my first meal, I had a huge mexican banquet for dinner. Can’t complain. Now a nightcap and some more than deserved shuteye. Tomorrow is race Sunday!

Work right, Eat right, sleep right
No couple should ever sleep on a double-bed for more than a night or two. Maybe two kids, or little people can fit ok, but two full-grown adults? No way in hell… Only during wartimes and survivor mission series. I think that with a good pillow and rug, I could probably sleep better on the…

Restaurant Week–> Done and Done
This week I worked my ass off, and decided to spent 100% of that money (after paying expenses, of courses) on fine dining. Fuck it. Visited three of the nicest restaurants in the city. Ate rare beef, raw seafood, farm-to-table veggies, all kinds of deconstructed desserts, and drank bottles of wine. Some dishes were unique,…

A thought about risky trading and death
One of my stock trading friends is barely breaking-even, and he basically avoids risks. 95% of his stocks are Fortune 500, blue chips companies and ETFs. Not…

Another taco, por favor
Is there really such a thing as too much salsa in your tacos? Yes! I found out the hard way. Discovered a new legit Mexican restaurant (meaning, workers speak Spanish and food recipes taste like the real thing) about 2-3 minutes from my house. Was so excited after finishing my plate of carnitas, that I…

A very ordinary Christmas during very unusual times
Christmas dinner was a surprisingly nice experience. Who would’ve thought? I certainly wasn’t expecting a good time with everything that’s happening. 12 people attended, same inner circle, everyone sent their vaccination cards to the hostess and did a rapid-test the same day. Can’t think of a safer way to get-together and celebrate Christmas in the…

Longing for ‘Nochebuena’
Christmas Eve is probably my favorite holiday of the year, even with everything that’s happening and sudden cancellations (let’s just skip this 2021 and 2020). And the evening dinner is definitely the thing I missed the most about not being home. If I could have ONE teleporting roundtrip, it would be to go home and…
